Facebook delivered a bad news to me today -
My former lecturer who, soon after graduation became a friend, Sue, passed away. I thought, at first, it was just some sick joke from her students but ...
I immediately contacted Bob, her brother who was also one one my classmate during my undergrad years.
"She passed away at 3.30pm today in PPUM."
My heart broke to pieces upon reading the message.
Right to this very moment (as I'm typing this), I'm still very much trying to digest the news. I wish so badly that it was merely a dream.
We hung out a while back -- I remember how chirpy she was then. We had good chats over coffees and sushis. It hurts thinking we will never be able to do that again.
Sue was so young. She's gone far too soon.
Just 18 hours before her passing, she was still updating her Facebook status. I wish, I so wish I've spent more time with her. I've wanted to -- but work took so much of my time.
I'm so sorry, Sue. I wish I was a much better friend than I am.
You're in a much better place now. Rest well my dearest Sue -- we will always miss you.
