After almost 4-years, I finally left AirAsia X.
It has been an enriching journey -- filled with good as well as bad memories. I learned so much from my stint there. I've made many friends, some I will keep some I much prefer not to be associated with.
I will not talk about why I decided to leave abruptly. I prefer to be discreet about it.
But, I guess, it will be enough to say I'm craving for something new -- things that can only be fulfilled by leaving the company.
My last day was on 20th October; and I have never been happier.

I started looking for jobs long before I left.
I was contacted by a Singaporean recruiter who was, at the point, recruiting for a Sales position in Air France. Got called up for a "chat" with both the Country Manager and the Sales Manager -- but didn't get the position due to my lack of experience in Sales.
Then, I was offered an Assistant Manager post at Gleneagles -- specifically in their Corporate Comm. Department. As much as I'm tempted with the package they offered me; I had to politely declined because of personal reason.
A guy from ZenithMedia added me on LinkedIn and asked if I'm interested to get my hands dirty in the Media Planning industry. We met up; and the next thing I know I was offered a Media Planner position with the company -- which I quite like and have been wanting to try since I left college.
Right at the same time; an offer came from Air France who's looking to hire me -- filling a position in their Marketing Department. Slight difference than the salary offered by ZenithMedia. But, after much contemplation, I decided to accept the airline's offer.
It wasn't an easy decision to make. Seriously.
With that salary they're going to pay me -- maybe I should get a part time job. Kidding.

I was booked to leave for Dubai on 20th November (10-days vacation) but Air France would like me to start earlier. Thank God for one really approachable "future" Boss -- she said I can come for five days to learn from my predecessor and properly start work once I'm back from Dubai.
At least now I can go and enjoy Dubai to the fullest.
I am looking forward to rejoin the workforce. The office will be much closer to home this time. And they provide me with transportation allowance in addition to my salary which, according to the agreement in LO, will be reviewed in 2015.
I am also looking forward to get on the plane and fly to Dubai. My feet are itching to travel again so this will be a good break before starting a new life.
So yes. La Vie est Belle!
