I fully started my new job early this month.
It was fun. I didn't think I'd enjoy it at first but I did. My boss, a French lady, is pretty cool. She's always ready to help -- like, literally whenever. Most of the staffs have been working for the company for at least 9 years, except of course, the younger ones.
We are a small team -- only 16 of us in the town office.
I got along well with my colleagues. We went out for lunch together and occasionally hang out after work. But this time I promised myself I'll stay away (or at least try to) from the drama. Don't think I have the patience to deal with those dramas again.

We had so many events the last weeks.
My first official work event was this charity dinner party at Carcosa Seri Negara -- organised by Le Petit Journal, an online newspaper for the French community in KL.
My boss dragged me around and introduced me to her network of French friends. But of course, since it was my first, I was a 'lil shy to mingle around.
I spent most of my time that night with the Director of Make-A-Wish Foundation and a Pilot from MH who came with his wife. We had good conversation and I managed to "silent-auctioned" our two tickets to France for RM5k ;)
Then I attended a dinner do organised by MASBA (a Swedish organisation) at JW Marriott pretty recently. It was really fun.
My colleague, A and I, were seated along with the other main sponsors and the Swedish ambassador. Mr Carlsson and his wife, Wiveka are very friendly -- super down to earth and laid back considering their position in the community.

With the friendly couple :)

With our new pal, Joanne.
A and I made a lot of new friends.
The Hotel served really good Scandinavian food (think Salmon, Herring, etc.) -- And I had so much fun dancing into the night. The Nordics are so much fun when they're a bit on the tipsy side.
It was definitely better than the earlier French event I attended ;)
Then A and I were invited (again!) to this gala dinner thingamajig for the SMEs.
It was a red-carpet, formal, sit down dinner so it wasn't as much fun as the other events I have been to.
Coincidentally, we were seated at the same table as our friend, K's girlfriend, Grace, who works for CX. So that was a nice coincident; having another aviator at the same table.

With Grace and A on the red carpet ;)
So okay.
I've been here less than a month and all I did was attending events and getting fat. I should make some changes to my life. Definitely should make changes to my life.
